Vectra SparesMy father is really keen on cars and at the moment he owns a Vectra. He has got a friend who deals in
Vectra Sparesand they are always in cahoots together taking about and tinkering with their cars. My mother is very tolerant of his hobby and she just lets him get on with it for the main part as he is a good husband to her in so many ways. However, the other day there was an incident that really got my mother angry. She came home from her job as a nurse which is really stressful and the drive was just full of
Vectra Spares. The place looked such a mess and there was no way she could get her car on the drive at all. When she spoke to my father about it, he added insult to injury by saying he would remove them but they were still there the next morning when she awoke. This was when my mother gave vent to her anger and she reeally shouted at him, telling him how inconsiderate he was. My father was shocked at her outburst but it really did the trick and he moved everything immediately. Not only that, he bought her a present and took her out to dinner that weekend to make up for it. Thank goodness that harmony is now restored at home.
Italian SupercarsI`ve had a love affair with cars since the day I was born and I think the first word that I said was Jaguar. My favourite film of all time is The Italian Job and I just adore the opening credits when Beckerman is driving his Lamborghini Miura over the winding roads of the alpine pass. This beautiful motor comes to a rather sticky end after losing a head-on battle with a JCB. I know it was only a shell they used for the crash scene but the thought of it still brings a tear to my eye. The Muira is such a pretty car and its representative of the
Italian Supercars> that will have a permanent place in motoring history. Ok, the nose end of a Miura used to get a little light at high speeds, but we can forgive it this minor indiscretion because it looks so amazing. If I had a choice of
Italian Supercars and money was no option I think I`d have a garage full of modern and classic vehicles. As well as a Ferrari F40, 430 and 355, I`d have an Enzo, Daytona and 350 GTO. Parked next to these would be a handful of other
Italian Supercars from manufacturers like Maserati, Lamborghini and Bugatti. Like fine wines, sporty Italian cars get better with age and it`s easy to see why so many car buffs fall in love with them so easily.
